There is a set of tried and true guidelines that one must follow in order to keep your lash extensions looking beautiful, and lasting until your next fill appointment.
- Avoid getting your lashes wet with water, steam, or sweat for the first 6 hours. I have cured the lashes with water vapor to eliminate irritation, but they won’t completely cure for another 6 hours, and you risk loosening them.
- Always wash your lashes DAILY with either Baby Shampoo, Oil Free Makeup Remover, or Gentle Gel Foaming Cleanser. Use your fingers, a makeup brush, a foam foundation applicator, or a felt tip lip gloss wand to gently cleanse your makeup off.
- Brush your lashes daily with a clean Mascara Wand. Preferably after cleansing, and once they are pat dry.
- Avoid using any makeup, or cleansers with oil in them around the eye area.
- Try not to lay on your lashes while sleeping to avoid damage or lash loss. There are custom crescent-shaped pillows you can buy to make side sleeping easier with lashes.
- NEVER use an Eyelash Curler or Water-Proof Mascara, as it is VERY damaging to lash extensions.
- NEVER pull, tug, or try to remove your lash extensions by yourself. If you are having discomfort, please come see me, and I can correct the problem at no charge.
- Do book an appointment for a fill every 2-3 weeks in order to keep them looking beautiful and comfortable.
